how it works

By using tiny needles to penetrate the epidermis (outermost layer of skin), your body goes into natural healing mode which is the response of producing new collagen. As the most abundant protein in the body, collagen gives structure to your skin, bones, muscles, and all other connective tissue. As we age, our bodies produce less of it resulting in fine lines and wrinkles. More collagen means healthier, better looking skin with an improved texture. Clients have used micro-needling to address a variety of skin concerns such as acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, pore size, surgery scaring, brown spots, and more.

what to expect

A numbing cream is available and can be applied before each treatment to diffuse the needling sensation. Once the micro-needling begins, most clients report that they can feel pressure, heat/warmth and tiny pricks but not pain. Certain areas of the body are more sensitive such as the hairline or around the lips. Each session lasts about 30 minutes. Following the treatment, most clients experience a mild redness that can last from 10 to 30 minutes - this varies based on the person and their skin type.

how many treatments are needed?

Everyone is different in terms of their needs and expectations. Most clients see results very quickly after one session. The best long-lasting results are usually seen after a series of treatments and a minimum of 3 is typically recommended.
